Matan was born in the Judean Desert in 1988 with no immediate access to the ocean, taking up swimming, surfing and scuba lessons at an early age.

He completed his DiveMaster SCUBA certification and started assisting with courses and taking people to dive trips, he quickly found Freediving and Spearfishing and decided to dedicate time and effort into creating a community of divers that share knowledge and passion for the sea and its creatures.
