He was born in a family of fisherman. His granfather Rodolfo, was born in Ilo, a fishing town on the southern coast of Peru. He started fishing and diving very young, to maintain his family and dedicated his whole life to the the fishing industry. He is well known in the peruvian fishing history and transmitted his passion for fishing, his knowledge and love for the ocean to Nicolas. Nicolas started diving at the age of 12 and never stopped to this day. He was initiated by his father, Rodolfo, who is also a SI instructor. Nicolas is also a professional skeet shooter, member of the Peruvian National Shooting Team. He has participated already in 2 Olympic Games (London 2012 – Tokyo 2020) and he is already qualified for Paris 2024. He has many hobbies as shooting, hunting, offroad and football but spearfishing is something different for him. In 2020 he started his own spearfishing shop and has been helping fellow spearfishers and divers to dive safely with the best equipment. In 2023, he finished his Spearfishing Instructor (SI) course, which increased and perfeccioned his underwater knowledge and techniques.
